Precious Metals For Our Precious Children Program.

Castle Dreams is always open minded to provide unique and specific donating opportunities. As a result, one such exciting opportunity is the ability to donate gold and silver!

Silver Donations:

Most silver donations to Castle Dreams are in the forms of silver jewellry, and items that are stamped "sterling" or ".925": such as tableware, cutlery, platters, picture frames, salt and pepper shakers, and candle holders to name a few. These sterling items contain 92.5% pure silver. We carefully and methodically chemically transform these items into pure 99.99% "elemental" silver.  This high quality silver is the same quality that is demanded by the federal government for producing their high quality pure silver coins and bars.  The process involves converting these solid metals into a liquid. We then seperate and filter out the base metals (Copper, Tin, Aluminum to name a few). The remaining filtered pure liquid silver is turned back into a solid beautiful pure silver crystal.  We transform this beautiful silver crystal into a hand poured pure silver bar, that is weighed and stamped by hand.  We offer this final product for purchase by the public to support our mission.   We certainly accept silver coins (constitutional or "junk" coins). We do not melt down government minted coins but rather sell them as well to the public for their silver value.

Gold Donations:

Most Gold donations to Castle Dreams is in the form of gold jewelry, bullion, bars, and coins. Like the silver coins, we do not melt down government minted coins. The basic explaination of our refining process starts with carefully testing and separating the gold by karot weight (10K, 12K, 14K, 18K, 24K). We then melt it down, along with some special other metals. When cooled, we add nitric acid to it: turning it into a liquid. We filter out the base metals (silver, Copper, Tin, Aluminum, and platinum group metals). The result is pure gold in liquid form. Adding a chemical to this solution results in pure gold. After the gold is dried, it is then melted and poured into gold bars, weighed and stamped by hand, in preparation for sale to the public for the  benefit those great children that benefit from our programs.
